EVALUATIONS
Providing psychological evaluations is the main service offered at Smith Psychological Services. Psychological assessment services are offered for residents of Virginia Beach and surrounding areas. These services include use of a wide array of assessment measures completed by a licensed clinical psychologist for the purpose of diagnostic clarification and treatment recommendations.
CONSULTATION
Consultation involves a professional service of providing information, advice or help to an individual or organization for the purpose of meeting objectives and/or solving problems. The consulting psychologist fulfills diverse roles, which serve to assist the individual and/or the organization (to include those who work within the organization). Psychological skills and knowledge contribute heavily to the varied and distinctive roles the consulting psychologist assumes.
SUPERVISION AND TRAINING
Smith Psychological Services offers training and supervision for graduate-level students who are pursuing a degree in psychology. Practicum and internship placements are offered each year with a heavy emphasis on administration, scoring and interpreting psychological assessments, in addition to comprehensive report writing.
